Life's Lessons

If I have learned only one thing the past few years of my life...it's that life isn't fair, by any stretch of the imagination. Just when you think you are getting ahead you get slapped back a peg or two. Not. Cool. However, the lesson plan of life seems to have many facets. The next more complicated than the first. The lesson I'm currently on is friendship. You have the friends who are your family. Who are by your side through thick and thin, call you out on your shortcomings, but also help you fix them. Curves, Dreams, and Demands

Let me preface by saying yes, I'm a girl, with curves. And yes I'm ok with that. Being said: Being a girl with curves, I greatly appreciate that there are some guys out there who enjoy a woman with a little “cuddliness.” HOWEVER, I would like to be selfish in asking that they don’t have more gold in their mouth then I wear on a daily basis, that their pants actually be on their butt, that they have no baby momma drama, and have a somewhat stable job. I'm even going to go as far as asking for some level of intelligence, ability to carry on a grammatically correct conversation, and not refer to me as ,"Babe, cupcake, honey bun," or any other pink pig or food reference. New Year, New Chapter

I'm refusing the resolutions this year, instead I plan on taking some good advice and focusing on life changes. Here's my focus for this New Year: Be true to yourself. Always trust your instincts. Don't take a single thing for granted. Be thankful for every day. Let go of the past, let it make you better, not bitter. Find something good in everyday.
